  For the faint, residual yellow bruises to completely fade, we generally recommend giving your recovery a timeline of up to one month. In terms of the bruised area, the discoloration usually concentrates above the elbow. However, please keep in mind that due to gravity, bruising can sometimes settle down into the forearm area below the elbow as well.
