I can't believe it's already been six months since my arm lipo — time really does fly. Honestly, on surgery day and through that first week, my arms were so swollen they looked like baseball bats, all yellow and bruised, and I kept panicking like "what if this doesn't even work…" 😭 On top of that it felt like my muscles were being ripped every time I moved, and I couldn't even lift my arms properly. But seriously, time really is the best medicine. Around the 1–3 month mark I could actually see the swelling and the leftover volume going down, and that got me hooked — I ended up going in for my aftercare way more diligently lol.
Now at 6 months, the lumps and that hard, tight feeling are completely gone and my skin is totally smooth. I was on the thinner side to begin with, so the amount removed wasn't huge, but the way my arm line got cleaned up is honestly incredible. My upper arms used to make me look way bigger than my actual weight, but now short sleeves and fitted ribbed tops — stuff that never used to work on me — fall in a clean straight line. I actually enjoy getting dressed these days haha.
As for movement and pain, my arms feel 100% my own again. You'd never guess I had surgery. Someone could smack my arm hard now and I wouldn't feel a thing, and I can throw my hands straight up over my head no problem lol. Even the underarm scars I was most anxious about have faded so much that I have to go hunting for where they were, so tank tops and raising my arms don't cross my mind at all anymore.
Early recovery had me feeling heavy and clumsy, and I almost regretted it — but now, every time I look in the mirror, all of that just disappears ☺️ My arms look so much more natural and clothes finally fit the way I always wanted, so honestly I wish I'd done it even a day sooner. Overthinking it just delays your results — go get your arm lipo and see the light ✨
