Who manages the SVF laboratory?
Dedicated SVF researchers are based here full time, handling cell management and ongoing research.
Dr. Jaeho Cho
An MD, PhD and board-certified general surgeon who oversees all SVF research. Since studying molecular biology at a university hospital in 1994, he has worked with nothing but adipose tissue and SVF.
Dr. Yoosuk Chung
As advisory physician to the Cell Matrix Lab, he is responsible for SVF harvesting. A board-certified plastic surgeon, he also performs facelift and deep plane procedures.
31 years of experience
From harvesting to the procedure itself, the chief directors handle every step in person. Together, their careers spent solely on adipose tissue and SVF span an average of 31 years.

Adult Stem Cell Source
Where are adult SVF stem cells harvested from?
Among the four sources - placenta, bone marrow, blood and adipose tissue - we primarily use adipose SVF.

Placenta (umbilical cord blood) SVF
Umbilical cord blood is harvested from the placenta. Because these are young cells, they are used for purposes such as cartilage regeneration, but the quantity of SVF obtainable is limited.

Bone marrow SVF
Harvested from inside the bone. Bone marrow yields SVF, but only in very small quantities.

Blood-derived SVF
Collected through phlebotomy. The blood is processed in a specialized kit and centrifuged to obtain growth factors, making it the second most widely used source after adipose SVF.

Adipose SVF
Harvested through liposuction. Adipose tissue contains roughly 100 to 1,000 times more SVF than bone marrow, so it is actively used for treatment, health enhancement and aesthetic purposes.

Body Contouring Surgery
Body contouring involves a wide surgical area and a long recovery period, and using SVF supports overall condition, recovery and the surgical result. It is applied to liposuction, fat grafting (hips, breasts, asymmetry reconstruction, labia majora, hands, feet) and body lifts (abdomen, arms, back, thighs, breasts).
Facial Plastic Surgery & Lifting
Facial surgery that uses implants depends heavily on post-operative blood circulation. SVF supports circulation by reconnecting vessels and promoting new vessel formation, and it is applied together with fat grafting, facelift surgery and the Inner Injection.
