It has been about 9 months since my arm lift (brachioplasty) scar revision and underarm skin lift with Dr. Jeong Yu-seok at The Line Plastic Surgery Clinic in Seoul. The procedure targeted the excess skin along the sides of my arms and the scar left from my previous arm lift.
Before surgery: Even the undergarments known for great coverage couldn't hide the excess skin bulging out from the sides of my underarms. The scar from my previous arm lift was also a constant concern.
Early recovery: In the first weeks after surgery, I had bruising and swelling, and the scar looked red. I kept wondering, "Will this get better with time?" The bruising and swelling went down fairly quickly, and now they are completely gone. Right after surgery, it was hard to tell what the final arm contour would look like because of the swelling, but as it subsided, I could feel the line settling into place.
Results at 9 months: The overall line around my arms is cleaner, and I can wear a wider range of clothes. I can now wear things I used to avoid because of my arms, and getting dressed has become fun again. The scar is still there, but it has gradually improved over time, which I think is thanks to the consistent scar treatment and follow-up care I received at The Line.
Aftercare and overall experience: Over these 9 months of recovery, I've felt that choosing The Line was the right decision. The surgery itself matters, but I believe aftercare is just as important. I was satisfied with the aftercare as well, which I think helped me get a better result. My stress about my arm contour has dropped a lot compared to before surgery, and getting dressed feels much easier. If I ever needed another lift surgery, I would choose The Line Plastic Surgery Clinic again.
