I got home from work, saw my belly while changing, got annoyed and updated Babitalk that night. As I got older the weight kept piling on and would not come off, and I thought about it a few years ago when I got married, but I was scared of the pain and busy with daily life, so I never even looked into it and let it go. Now it is hopeless, so I figured I would at least look, haha
TheLINE's reviews are on another level..! A lot of them are natural yet dramatic.
Lipo does feel like a somewhat big surgery and I kept going back and forth on my own between safety, price and actual change
Because of my job I do a lot of field work, overtime and moving around, and peak season is coming, so I ended up focusing a lot on recovery and scarring. Of course safety and price matter too!! In the end I could not decide on my own, haha, and since I was not doing it right away I made up my mind to just get a consultation and a quote and think more, and went to sleep!
For about an hour I looked through reviews, and there were cheaper places, but I figured if the results are small that is even more of a waste of money, so despite worrying about the price I came to TheLINE because of the more dramatic reviews, the stem cells, safety and final satisfaction
Personally, the fact that TheLINE charges a 10,000 won consultation fee made me trust them more, so off I went. I figure it means they do not do sloppy consultations, they go into more detail, and it prevents no-shows. The consultation actually took about an hour and a half
The night before, all I had looked at was review photos, so when I arrived and was filling in the chart I blanked out and could not pick a doctor or manager, haha..
I waited maybe 5 minutes in the lounge and saw someone dressed like they had just finished surgery heading to the fitting room. They walked over on their own, perfectly fine, so I was watching and wondering if there were no anesthesia after-effects or if it had just been a light procedure, and then one of the consultation managers went over to them and kindly showed them to the fitting room, and told the family who were waiting about the result (I heard the contour came out really well) and went over in detail the specific things to watch out for in their case, and I thought, oh, it was surgery, and you can go straight back to daily life, amazing, haha
I changed clothes and was matched with Manager Boyoung Jung, and the way she spoke was so straightforward and confident that I was immediately drawn in
I had only looked at reviews and not the bad side, so I was fearless, but she showed me photos of side effects and I got a little scared, haha, and then she explained in detail what makes TheLINE different and the surgical approach that has kept them accident-free and free of complications so far, and I could feel that the manager herself has enormous trust in the doctors' surgical methods
I had sensed it from the event page, but after her explanation my trust went up by 1000
Compared to other places, even looking at actual quote reviews, TheLINE was not cheap, but there was no obsession with large volumes and it was focused on how you look in the mirror, so there were far more reviews that resonated with me, and the whole direction was not about removing as much as possible right now but about shaping the contour as beautifully as possible without complications, and even the surgical order designed to minimize scars and bruising - hearing all that, it was exactly the direction I wanted, so I got more and more drawn in, hehe
During the consultation I did not really have anything left to ask She told me everything I might have been curious about in advance, which was easy And when something came to mind and I asked, she answered openly and honestly, which I liked
Still, surgery is scary and I had gone in on short notice, so I was not 100% set on doing it, and I had gone in casually during work with the mindset of getting a quote, thinking it over, having consultations elsewhere and then deciding, hehe.. If I did do it, I planned to start with the relatively cheap arms and, if that went well, do my stomach and legs later!!
The manager looked at my body in detail and consulted me thoroughly +++ and afterwards pulled up the price list, gave me quotes by area and recommended a doctor, and it was not as astronomical as I had imagined.. So I booked a date and paid in full for arms, accessory breast tissue, abdomen and love handles, hehe
Then I had my blood test, and the woman who did it was so cheerful and kind that it put me in a good mood. I asked how rough you look after surgery and she told me, so I moved my date back by two weeks, haha, thank you
Then finally! I had my consultation with Dr. Yoongeun Kim, and he really examined me in detail.. so honest.....
First, as soon as he saw my arms he said they were the muscular type and asked if I work out, hahaha.. I said no, and did what he told me to do, and he honestly said I could do it if I wanted but it would be more like tidying up the contour and there would not be a dramatic change, ruling out straight arms, and he seemed a bit unenthusiastic, haha. It felt like he kept steering me toward not doing it, hahaha. I mean, I paid and booked a date and he was talking me out of it
I was a bit deflated, and then he felt my stomach and said he was genuinely confident he could make a dramatic change there, that it was all fat, hahahaha. Sad but also reassuring and exciting..
He said my waist line and love handles would come out well, but recommended filling the hip dips, which could otherwise look comparatively disappointing. It was not something I had ever worried about, but he said that once the other areas are taken in, that part would start to bother me, and he showed me in the mirror, moving and holding the flesh, so it really landed, and he said with real confidence that if I did it there he could make it come out really well, so I was completely won over.
Before that, when the manager was recommending a doctor, she had said Dr. Kim is good at everything but his specialty is taking fat from the waist and saddlebags and grafting it into hip dips, and I had seen that a lot in TheLINE's reviews so I knew, but since the price was bundled by area and it was expensive, and I had never really worried about hip dips or my pelvis, I had no intention of getting fat grafting.
I have never had surgery but I have had plenty of non-surgical procedures, and hand on heart, this was the first time a doctor's consultation was this detailed....! It was at the level of the kindest, most thorough consultation managers. When a doctor explains every single thing like that, how could you not trust him.. He completely won me over..
If he had only recommended add-on procedures I would have let it go in one ear and out the other, but the look in his eyes that said do not do the arms, and his confidence about my waist and telling me to switch to hip dips, was not something I could ignore.. and the fat grafting was even cheaper than the arms, haha
So I switched gears and asked whether, if I do hip dips, I should not also do my thighs, and he said thighs generally have plenty of fat so it can all be done.. and once again asked if I do any exercise like swimming.. haha, and I said no
He said the front of my thighs is almost all muscle so not much can be done there, but the saddlebags and inner thighs can be worked on, though even so, when I stand with my legs together my inner thighs will touch and he cannot take enough off for them to separate. Still, the encouraging part was his honest answer that the sides are more effective in the mirror than the front and back, so I changed the areas on the spot, haha
In the end I decided on abdomen, love handles, saddlebags, inner thighs, and fat grafting to the hip dips, and for someone who came in thinking only about arms it was over budget, hahaha, but these were areas I would have gotten around to eventually rather than settling for a small result, and considering the total surgical scope and safety, I do not think this price feels expensive, haha
Whatever, I just want next week to come already~~ I want to get it done and recover fast!!!!
