Q(Question). You exercised regularly, so what made you decide to get professional care as well?
I have always liked exercising and kept it up, but as I got older I felt a 'limit' that exercise alone could not solve. Excess fat would not come off the way it used to, and my body felt permanently heavy, like chronic fatigue. Above all, my biggest worry was, "I want to lose weight but I do not want to lose the fullness in my face." In your 40s, dieting the wrong way easily makes you look suddenly older.
Q(Question). What was the first thing you did when you started?
I visited TheLINE Plastic Surgery for a detailed blood test and consultation, and that became the turning point of my diet. I thought it was simple fatigue, but the results showed heavy metal exposure and a serious nutritional imbalance. So instead of starving myself or running endlessly, I chose a healthy diet method that started with detox treatment to clear the toxins out of my body.
Q(Question). After changing your method and direction, what change do you feel most?
My body feeling light in the morning is a given, and I hear "your skin looks better" and "your complexion is clearer" from people around me all the time! The facial firmness I was most sensitive about stayed exactly the same while my overall condition shot up, which is amazing and completely satisfying.
Q(Question). Was a clinic program clearly different from doing it alone?
Absolutely. In fact, I have been managing my nutritional balance with TheLINE's 'LAST program' since four years ago, and it greatly improved my sleep quality. This time I added facial treatments and constitutional care, and with an expert coaching me according to my condition each time, maintaining my weight is far easier than doing it alone. There is also real enjoyment in filling my body with good things.
Q(Question). Did you consider obesity medications like the currently popular Wegovy or Mounjaro?
Honestly, at first I was very tempted. But when I looked into them properly, the side effects I worried about most, an aged-looking face and muscle loss, bothered me. I heard that if you suppress appetite with medication and lose weight quickly, facial fat and the supporting ligaments go with it, and the skin sags easily like a deflated balloon. On top of that, if a large amount of muscle disappears as the weight comes off, basic stamina drops and the chronic fatigue I already had would only get worse. The common side effects like nausea and stomach trouble were also off-putting.
After your 40s, I think the essential approach is care that balances the body while protecting your face and stamina, not one that drives your body into the ground. Emptying out what is bad and filling in what is good for a body that ages a little every day makes every day feel much healthier. I hope my review helps anyone who is worn out by the pressure of shrinking numbers or hesitant about losing the fullness in their face.
Let's all age beautifully with a healthy diet method! :)
