Hello, this is TheLINE Plastic Surgery. This time we would like to introduce the case of a patient who underwent deep plane facelift surgery with Dr. Yoosuk Chung!
A deep plane lift is a technique that releases the retaining ligaments and lifts all layers of the skin together, lifting the face through an incision along the crease lines around the ear.

This is the patient's pre-operative photo. The patient had long been concerned about the marionette lines, the folds around the mouth, that had developed with age. Middle-aged women may have this concern due to wrinkles caused by aging. Marionette lines have a large influence on the overall impression of the face, and can in particular make a person look older.
After fully understanding the patient's concerns, we proceeded with deep plane facelift surgery to improve the marionette lines. A deep plane facelift lifts the skin and the subcutaneous tissue at the same time, and by working on the tissue at a deeper layer than a conventional facelift it delivers a natural result. This surgery focused on effectively improving the wrinkles and making the contour of the face more defined.

This is the photo taken 3 days after surgery. Along with the improvement of the mouth-area wrinkles that had concerned the patient, you can see that the face overall has become firmer. Swelling and pain may occur after surgery, but with appropriate care and a proper recovery process a natural result can be obtained within a short period. The scar left by the incision along the crease line at the ear can also fade over time. ^^

This is the photo taken 1 month after surgery. The marionette lines have improved noticeably, and the scar around the ear has faded considerably. As you can see from the before-and-after photos, the wrinkles improved greatly through the deep plane facelift. With deep plane lift surgery, dissection is carried out down to the deep layers, so an excellent lifting effect can be experienced across the whole face. The patient also told us she is very satisfied. ^^
