Hello. This is TheLINE Plastic Surgery. This time I would like to introduce the case of a patient who underwent vitiligo treatment with Dr. Yoongeun Kim!
Vitiligo is an acquired depigmentation disorder in which white patches of various sizes and shapes appear on the skin due to the destruction of pigment cells. By injecting autologous stem cells derived from fat into the skin, regeneration and recovery of the skin can be supported.

This is the photo before the patient began vitiligo treatment. The patient had long been troubled by the white patches appearing on her skin due to vitiligo. She had tried several treatment methods without seeing an effect, which led her to consider stem cell therapy. Before treatment, a consultation was held to assess her skin condition and the extent of the vitiligo.
To obtain stem cells from within the patient's body, we went through a process of separating stem cells from adipose tissue. The extracted stem cells were then injected into the patient's skin as the treatment. The stem cells promote skin regeneration and support the production of melanocytes, with improvement of the vitiligo as the goal. Treatment was carried out over several sessions, and after each session we monitored the patient's skin condition and took the necessary measures.

This is how it looks one month after treatment. You can see that the size of the white patches has noticeably decreased. In addition, with consistent treatment the difference in pigmentation from the surrounding skin decreases, allowing a more even skin tone to be recovered.
With stem cell therapy, consistency is the most important thing. We carry out treatment tailored to each patient's concerns so that the most effective result can be obtained. ^^
