Hello, this is Dr. Yoosuk Chung of TheLINE Plastic Surgery.

One of the challenges we commonly face in body contouring surgery lies not in the technical limits of reducing the amount of fat but in how to restore the patient's own innate bodily order. Across 32 years and more than 100,000 cases, the subject I have always pursued is the 'organic union of skin and muscle.' The patient I introduce today, at 164cm and 68kg, not only had a considerable thickness of subcutaneous fat across the abdomen but, through repeated weight changes, had lost elasticity in the abdominal wall, leaving the center of her upper body hanging heavily downward. In a body in the high 60kg range, the error most to be guarded against is becoming absorbed in large-volume suction alone and leaving the skin slack like a deflated balloon after surgery. In designing this operation, I set as my goal not flat fat removal but a 'surround redesign' that wraps the abdomen three-dimensionally. I performed abdomen + corset liposuction, controlling the projection of the front while strongly cinching the love handles that run from the flanks toward the spinal line, and combined the self-regenerating technology of stem cell-rich SVF liposuction to maximize the fundamental contractile capacity of the skin.

These are the patient's pre-operative photos.

Unseen value: a surgeon's philosophy held in the 5mm hidden incision For a board-certified plastic surgeon, a scar is both a trace to be erased and a matter of pride. Especially for a patient like this one, at 164cm, whose body type makes the drape of clothing important, a visible surgical trace is a factor that sends satisfaction with the result straight down. The delicate technique of hiding incision lines within the hairline or behind the ear, developed through facelift surgery, is something I carry over directly into body contouring. In this abdomen + corset liposuction as well, I firmly ruled out the commonly used umbilical incision. Instead I hid micro-incisions of about 5mm within the natural curves of the body, around the underwear line near the prominent bones of both hips and near the tailbone. This follows the same logic as using the inner armpit crease in arm liposuction or targeting the groin underwear line in thigh liposuction. Incisions placed in such blind spots blend perfectly with the tone of the surrounding tissue over time, aiming for an aesthetic finish so complete that six months on, even the operating surgeon has trouble finding the trace without a magnifier. The psychological release a patient feels wearing a bikini or a short top after surgery is why I obsess over a single small opening. Stem cell-rich SVF liposuction: cellular regeneration beyond simple suction The large volume of fat extracted from a 68kg body inevitably creates a wide empty space, or dead space, beneath the skin. How that space adheres determines the firmness of what people call the 'body fit.' Drawing on data accumulated through running our stem cell center, I applied the stem cell-rich SVF liposuction method throughout the procedure to encourage that empty space to fill in densely with the patient's own collagen. Stem cell-rich SVF liposuction is a higher-order process, well beyond the act of extracting fat. By preserving densely around the treated area, without destroying them, the viable regenerative energy contained in fat tissue such as microvascular fractions and stromal cells, it brings about self-adhesion lifting in which the skin settles onto the abdominal muscle layer as tightly as a magnet, without any artificial foreign injection from outside. This not only blocks side effects such as an uneven or sagging skin surface after surgery at the root but also improves the skin texture itself, making it healthier and firmer. This technology, which concentrates my own clinical experience from more than 30 years of performing lift surgery and studying the mechanisms of skin elasticity, shows its true worth especially in large-volume suction cases at 60kg and above.

These are the patient's photos six months after surgery.

A silhouette set free, beyond a change in numbers: a record of six months Six months have already passed since the abdomen + corset liposuction. Now that the temporary swelling right after surgery has fully cleared, the solid waist curve and smooth abdominal contour I intended have clearly taken shape. With the bulk of the love handles that once widened the frame horizontally gone from this patient's 68kg body, the volume of the pelvis is emphasized by contrast, completing an S-line close to golden proportions. Most encouraging of all is that over these six months the lifting effect of the stem cell-rich SVF liposuction has stabilized, and the skin surface adheres firmly without any unevenness. The patient has regained the everyday pleasure of confidently wearing waist-defining outfits rather than the loose box tees she once used to hide her abdomen. Simply taking fat away is no more than technique; correcting a person's collapsed proportions and setting free the real contour hidden within is completed only when 32 years of trust meets precise handwork. Through TheLINE's sculpting, I hope you meet the most elegant and firm silhouette you have imagined.
