With summer here, women's efforts at body management have become fiercer. Some aim at overall weight loss, but women troubled by localized fat on the thighs and buttocks also complain about the hardship of severe dieting.
The thighs and buttocks in particular are made up of storage fat, so they are considered among the hardest areas to slim down. That is why you easily find people who are slim overall but cannot lose fat from the thighs no matter how much they exercise, or who find it hard to create the line they want.
This concern about localized fat on the 'thighs' can be found among celebrities too. Yoo Seung-ok, a celebrity known for a body fit enough to win at a Muscle Mania competition, revealed that she too was self-conscious about her thick thighs.
According to broadcasts and interviews, Yoo Seung-ok said she did everything she could but did not see satisfying results, so after much thought she tried thigh liposuction. However, she said she also experienced problems such as cellulite clumping due to an incorrectly performed liposuction procedure.
So how can liposuction and liposuction revision surgery be performed safely and accurately? Dr. Jaeho Cho of TheLINE Plastic Surgery said, "Excessive liposuction can cause side effects such as skin irregularity, cellulite and skin sagging, so identifying the appropriate subcutaneous fat layer is extremely important," adding, "Recently, a careful and accurate ultrasound fat analysis makes it possible to determine exactly which subcutaneous fat layer can be removed, allowing safer surgery."
Applying an ultrasound fat analysis before surgery means only the unnecessary subcutaneous fat layer is removed, minimizing damage to soft tissue such as muscle, blood vessels and nerves, which can also shorten the recovery period. For liposuction revision surgery as well, accurate analysis of the underlying cause together with ultrasound fat analysis can raise satisfaction with the result.
The thighs and hip line, which consist of storage fat, can also be suctioned evenly across all layers, producing a longer-looking, smooth lower-body line from the hip down to the knee, and suctioning through the tailbone and pelvic area reduces concerns about visible scars, which also eases worries about wearing a bikini.
Dr. Jinseo Kim of the clinic said, "More than anything, it is important to establish an accurate surgical plan through a thorough consultation with a medical team dedicated to liposuction," adding, "Systematic aftercare following liposuction is also important, so it is good to choose a clinic where specialized aftercare is provided as well."
