It's already been 6 months since my surgery. Before surgery I couldn't wear short sleeves even in summer, but this year my arms are slim enough that I can, and I'm having a great time. The incision area is still noticeable, but it's lighter than at first and it's in a spot you can't see unless I raise my arm, so I think it'll keep fading with good care. At 6 months the swelling seems completely gone, and there's a slight tight feeling, but almost only when I fully extend my arm. I started exercising gradually from around the 3-4 month mark. At first even stretching was hard and I could barely do any strength work, but now I can do Pilates and weight training, so I'm happily working out alongside everything else! And in daily life there's no discomfort at all, I can do everything!! There was pain and discomfort early on after surgery, but as time passed the pain and discomfort kept shrinking while my satisfaction kept growing. Summer is here and I'm so happy thinking about wearing tank tops!! Even looking back now, choosing to have the surgery is one of the best things I've done in my life~!
