Before surgery, rapid weight loss and liposuction had left the inner skin of my arms quite loose, so wearing short sleeves or sleeveless tops was limited and it bothered me quite a bit in daily life. I had arm liposuction and an arm lift together with Dr. Jaeho Cho. Right after surgery there was bruising and swelling, but it gradually settled with time, and although there was pain it was not to the point of making daily life difficult. I think recovery was about average. The scar runs along the inner arm and is still red, and I am managing it with ointment. I am only three months in and they say it takes about a year to fade, so I do not think it is time to judge the scar yet. The loose skin is tidied up, and I am satisfied with that part.

When I first had the surgery I was half doubtful, but looking back now it was really a good choice. Honestly I have been so busy with work that I barely exercised... if anything I think I gained about 3 kg from stress eating (?). But strangely, my abdomen feels almost unchanged. Normally my belly would have been the first thing to bulge, but this time my sides and lower belly stayed the same. The areas that had liposuction really do show a clear difference. Compared to the one-month mark, my abdominal line feels much more natural and smooth, and as the swelling went down my skin got a lot softer too. My pants are still loose as ever. Honestly it is a little disappointing that I could not exercise at all, but I plan to start at the gym again soon and build a firmer ab line.
