The major swelling has clearly gone down and moving around is comfortable now. I can take a simple shower again, and when I touched my arms while washing I could really feel the difference. The skin that used to hang loose is gone, so I can feel the surface area has shrunk. As for the scars, I apply the ointment about three times a day and I can see them getting lighter day by day. When I went in for my one-month follow-up, the doctor told me the scars had faded a lot and that my recovery was fast, which made me so happy! There is still some swelling and the sensation has not fully come back, but it does not interfere with daily life at all. After surgery I have actually started taking better care of my health, so I feel healthier overall. I think it will get even better if I keep managing it and add some stretching!
