Right after surgery there was more swelling and stiffness than I expected, but after about a month I could clearly see that my overall arm line had been cleaned up. In particular, my upper arms stand out less in clothes, so I am very satisfied. I used to feel self-conscious wearing fitted short sleeves or sleeveless tops, but now I can definitely feel that the line is slimmer. The bruising mostly faded over about 2 to 3 weeks, and right now it is barely noticeable. The swelling has also gone down a lot compared to the early days, so there is almost no discomfort in daily life. There is still a slightly puffy feeling in the mornings, but I think it will look even more natural as time passes. The scars are just small dots at the incision sites on the inner arm so they were not very noticeable, and with diligent care they seem to be fading. People around me would not notice unless I told them. Overall the recovery was better than expected, and as long as you wear the compression garment and take care of things, returning to daily life was no trouble. They said this is not the final line yet so I am looking forward to more, and so far I am recovering happily
